Purometallo: what it is and how it is applied
Decorative finish Purometallo is a mix of resin and metal powder. It can be applied over walls, columns, counters, pieces of furniture etc…
The application process is carried out by our trained, professional artisans. This finish can be applied onto new or existing surfaces after appropriate preparation.
The first step consists of preparing the surface through specific techniques. A base coat (Purometallo Primer) is then applied.
Once the first coat is dry, a mix of resin and metal powder is applied which will then create the actual decorative finish (Purometallo Mix). Before this coat is completely dry, Ideal Work professionals use specific tools such as rollers and moulds to obtain the desired texture.
The surface is finally sanded, polished and covered with a protective coating that will keep it unaltered over time (Purometallo Polish).
The entire application process is quick (it takes approximately 2-3 days) and the finished surface has a minimal thickness (just a few millimetres), providing a non-invasive outcome that is perfect in every detail.
Such application does not entail removal of existing surfaces or extreme preparation, yet it can completely change the appearance of any environment.
