The University of Wine is part of Conegliano’s School of Enology, the first in Italy. The city of Conegliano was chosen due to its role as a traditional producer of Prosecco. The school was initially located in the historic centre of the city, but in 1924 it was moved to the outer limits where its grounds included a large plot for experimental vine cultivation. For the University of Wine, Ideal Work created an acid-stain floor to cover the entire interior, an area of over 1,200 square metres (almost 13,000 square feet) subject to heavy foot traffic. Our acid-stain floor is a truly “tailor-made” floor, designed on a case-by-case basis according to the client’s needs: the acids, formed from metal salts, penetrate the concrete and spark a chemical reaction which changes its colour permanently, creating unique effects. A practical and easy solution that is easy to maintain and provides a modern and elegant result.
